“We Value the Education our Children Receive”

Dear Parents and Friends,

On behalf of the St. Peters National School, Dungourney Parents Association you are welcome to our webpage. We hope that you will find this service of use to you.

The role of the Parents Association Committee includes planning and organising a programme of events and activities for the school year. We work alongside the Principal, Duncan McCarthy, and teachers of the school in delivering activities that bring an element of fun as well as education to the school year. We raise funds through the yearly family contributions to cover the activities that we organise for the children, However, should the school require funds for a specific need and if requested by the Board, then we organise fundraising events for that.

What We Do

In the past, in conjunction with the school, we have organised:

  • Halloween Events
  • Knitting
  • Fundraising
  • Virtual Kids Yoga
  • “Adopt a Grand-friend”
  • School Calendar
  • Cyber Safety Talk
  • Zumba
  • THE CHRISTMAS SURPRISE!
  • New School Garden
  • Swimming Lessons
  • Book Rental and Purchase Scheme
  • Refreshments on Communion Day/Sports Day etc.

At the beginning of each school year there is an AGM of the Parents Association. We then meet on a regular basis and always welcome new members and ideas. Ask any committee member if you want to get involved.
